This Is The Place
For Memorial Day we decided to take the boys to This is the Place. It is like Nauvoo in Utah. They had a great time. Aaron just loves being outside so he was happy and Brandon got to do so many neat things. First there was a train. You can ride it all day if you want. It takes you around the town so you don't have to walk as much. This was especially good because we had grandmas with us. There are presentations, tours, pony rides, crafts, games, and baby animals. If you go on Wednesday it is only $2 and everything is included. It was a great way to remember our past on Memorial Day- maybe even a new tradition.
One..Two.. Teeth
Pony Ride
By far the cutest thing ever. Brandon was so funny. He kept telling the pony "good job pony, good job." Finally was was like "You need an apple huh." I think this may be a lasting memory for him.
Baby Animal Days
Brandon chose the black chick.
This was the last little goat on the way out.
This bunny was so sweet. Brandon held him for a minute and then passed it on to a little girl. He wanted it right back but she gave it to someone else so Brandon kept following the bunny until one girl finally realized he wanted it back. He was very patient.
We went on baby animal days. It was so fun to see Brandon hold all of the little tiny animals. He was so soft and not at all afraid. I don't think he passed by a single one of them. Every animal got a little Brandon love today!

Racing Bears
So this is a racing bear game that teaches you how to milk a cow. It was so funny to see Brandon get the concept so quickly. He had a great time racing all of the people there. Oh and he picked is own favorite racer.

Cute Aaron
Aaron has been a new child since he started crawling. He is so happy to be able to get around. He has the sweetest little smile and personality. I am amazed at all he can do. The other day someone handed him a car and he started driving it across the floor. I was shocked. He really loves toys that make sounds and light up. He has also started to pull himself up on his feet. He does well at getting up, but he needs to work on staying up. He is really become a fun little guy to be around. We spend many hours cheering him on and getting excited at the little things he does. The other day he was sad and said mum-ma. Of course I decided he was really saying my name and made a big deal about it. Since then any noise that comes out of his mouth is a word to Brandon. He will yell "Mom Aaron said Blah Ya" or whatever he mumbles. It is kinda funny.
May 24, 2010
This is for all of you in Oklahoma in Texas who are filling up your swimming pools and enjoying the great outdoors. Yes, it is May 24 and we are still getting snow. If you want to cancel your summer plans and come up I am sure we can go snow skiing still. :)

Fire Station
So we went to visit the fire station today with our friends. Brandon had a great time. He got to climb through the truck and the fireman gave him a hat! The funny thing is that one day Chris came home with his dish van that has a ladder on the top and Brandon has since assumed that Chris is a firefighter. He was so excited. He said "Wow dad. That's your fire engine? Back it up over here dad." We didn't have the heart to tell him any differently. So today after having a great time at the station we got into the car and Brandon was like, "Mom I didn't see my dad there." I told him his dad must be out rescuing someone.
Aaron's Mobile
So this is surprising. Aaron is growing up so quickly. He has been pretty fussy this last week with a runny nose and I couldn't figure out why he was so whinny. Finally a little tooth poked through and I felt terrible I didn't figure that one out. It didn't even come to my mind. He is still my baby. The thought that he is now closer to being one than he is to being a newborn makes me a little sad. Another little milestone is his new mobility. Last week we laughed at him as he would go from sitting to rolling over and back to sitting up. He could get clear across the room this way. This week he is crawling. You can see he is still slow but give him another week and I am sure he will be as quick as lightning.

That's Mine!
Check out our cute little ice cream parlor. It is a good walk from our house and the ice cream cones are only 88 cents. I decided to share my ice cream with Aaron and you can see what happened. I guess I will get him his own next time. Chris and I thought this was so funny.
